Specialty Areas

  • I work with teens and adults experiencing harsh self-criticism, shame, anxiety, and rigid perfectionism. Using acceptance-focused approaches, mindfulness, and self-compassion, we’ll work together to create more freedom and expansion in the face of these life-limiters by boosting self-kindness and psychological flexibility in the service of living out your deepest values.

  • I work with teens and adults with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), as well as individuals experiencing sub-clinical body image and eating concerns (e.g., preoccupation with food/eating, fear of weight gain, emotional eating, body checking). I also provide parent and partner support sessions. My approach is compassion-focused and health at every size (HAES) informed, and utilizes CBT, DBT, ACT, appetite awareness training, and intuitive eating.

  • As a current member of the Stanford Sports Psychology team, I work with collegiate athletes to address mental health challenges caused by or affecting their sport/sport performance. In my private practice, I work with teen and adult athletes to address a range of issues including the psychological impact of injury and injury recovery, performance pressures and performance anxiety, over-exercise, disordered eating, transitioning out of or retiring from sport, and general mood/anxiety concerns.

  • Whether it’s transitioning out of or into a relationship, navigating life milestones such as having a baby or starting a new career, coping with relationship difficulties and doubts, or seeking to better understand who we are (exploring sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, cultural identity, etc), we often need some support. Therapy can provide a space to process life and relationship change, and get in touch with the person we want to be and what matters most.
